Rebirthing - Book of Light

Weaving the Eight Festivals of Illumination

As I deepen into my Ovate training, I feel a call to weave everything I have become into one sacred whole — the Bard, the Mystic, the Priestess, the Oracle, the Flame Keeper, the Healer, and the Lover of the Grove and Herbs. These aspects of my soul are gathering in circle, ready to hold space for the turning of the Wheel and the eternal dance of Earth, Flame, and Light.

In the early stages of my journey, I adapted the OBOD Bardic Gatherings to reflect the Priestess work I share — bringing in deities, elemental correspondences, and flame energies. Since Beltane, I have continued expanding this vision, crafting a comprehensive list of correspondences for each of the eight festivals:

Deities, Colours, Symbols, Elements, Planets, Crystals, Solar or Lunar energies, Trees, Herbs, Flowers, Wildlife, Animals, Birds, Insects, Fish, Fruits and Nuts, Flames (Nwyfry), and Keywords.

Together, they form the radiant language of the Earth’s song — a living alchemy of spirit and nature.

The Wheel of Light

Each festival offers its own flame, its own colour, and its own breath of awakening.

Below is the journey that this Book of Light will traverse — the path through the seasons, illuminated by the turning of the Sun.

The Book of Light

Inspired by the traditional Book of Shadows, I am creating a Book of Light that will travel through the eight festivals and the cycles of life. In each chapter there will include:

  • The energies and correspondences for the festival

  • Sacred blessings and invocations

  • Crystals and flame work

  • Reflections and journaling space

  • Key words, colours, and elements to inspire ritual creation

This will be a companion for those walking the Priestess, Druid, or Ovate & Bard path — a way to align with the rhythms of the Earth, awaken the light within, and honour the living flame in all things.

A Time of Gathering and Illumination

This new creation feels like a beautiful synthesis of everything I have walked so far. The Bard who sings the song of the land. The Priestess who holds the temple flame. The Healer who listens to the herbs and the whisper of the trees. The Oracle who remembers.

Together, they gather now to write, to bless, and to breathe life into this new spiral of light.

It is an exciting time — a season of birth, of creation, and of bringing together the new lights, flames, and crystals that illuminate our collective path.

We are all on a journey, a spiral of learning, as we go through different aspects of our lives, and interests we gather parts of our journey, I began a long time ago when a child with cards, playing cards, and reading, sensing energies. Then with tarot, astrology was a love of mine, to understand myself and others.

Mediumship and healing came into my mid thirties, when I worked in schools and then trained to be a teacher. I am many things and at this heart of who I am I almost forgot the journey from mystic, poetic, dreamer, intuitive, to healer, teacher, priestess, high priestess, back to healer, teacher, and to facilitator. Now the light calls to me more and more, as the channeller of White Flame, Brigid's Flame burns in my hands and heart. Green Flame of the earth calls to be shared in the Apothecary Garden that is calling for Spring.

In this druid journey, through the Bardic elements, poetics, myths and legends and to the Ovate - herbalist, ogam trees, exploring more and more of what each festival means and brings. With two years of the gatherings at Forest Harvest, preceded by 5 years teaching the Priestess Courses, and over 10 years of personal practise with each festival.

Tree Spirit has been hell of a ride this year, just as you explore one tree, a life situation occurs and its been interesting that's for sure. I felt bound by the structure of our manuals, which tugged at me for quite some while, I love to be fluid and in flow. This is me as I channel and give deeply from my heart and deep well of wisdom. But in these session and creating the living Grove, in team work it has been amazing feat, and I thank Nick and Kerry, for their enthusiasm for the course. To Terry to planting some trees and starting the signs. There are 20 ogam trees and we have most of them. Just a few more to add. Heather and Gorse, Spindle too.

Walking the Spiral of Light

Everything we do in this path is a remembering — a learning through nature, the journey, and the mysteries. We walk with the land and the seasons, learning through our inner and outer worlds as we find ourselves again and again. Each turning brings us closer to wholeness, to love, to bliss — and in that bliss, we are home.

We travel through grief and sadness, and through these passages, community and ritual become the hands that hold us. We travel also through happiness and joy, and we remember that there is always a place at the centre of the Grove, or high upon the mountain, where our higher self meets us. Sometimes we find it on the river with the swans, or in the ocean with the whales. For me, it was in a cave in France where Bliss found me.

From the August of the first harvest this year, I began a journey within — changing my diet and food sources, returning to simplicity, to the at-one with body and spirit. I released what no longer served me and gained better health and a deeper peace within.

Over three months, through the spiral of New Moons, chakras, colours, foods, and inner work, I met the layers of my own healing. Old stories surfaced to be released, and I was gifted a profound lesson in boundaries — the kind that honours both love and self-respect.

Now, as we step into these days of new beginnings, the time of rebirth after our Lantern Labyrinth Walk on the 1st of November, I find myself standing in the glow of renewal. I have received a gift from the Gods — an earth angel in the form of a puppy — and a new light shines within me.

I was told I would receive an upgrade, initiations from the Council of Light, Great Brotherhood no less, and I feel it: my heart expanding, exploding into a thousand pieces of love.

The star lights me up, like a comet streaking across the night sky.

The golden light is here, and within it, I create — for I am a Creator, one with Source.

And as I create, I share.

This is my way.

With Light — that is my way.

With Love — that is my way.

Generous of spirit, generous of the harvest, and with a few more boundaries, carrying the lessons of Ivy, Bramley, and Blackthorn.

Nwyfre is the energy that binds all life together. It is the current that moves through all things, the force we feel coursing through us when we walk in nature or experience great joy. It is the living breath of creation — the essence that reminds us we are one with all life.

I carry the light of stars, of flames, rays and colours, as I operate from my Aura of White, I carry a White Rose, that can move between all colours of rays, flames, roses, and bring the messages from the divine, source for us all to experience in our understanding of frequency, colour and expression. There is something for us all in the colours of the earth, in the frequency of colours, in the rays from the sun and the light and energy of the land.

Each Gathering and festival will be enriched with short blessings using the colour flames I hold and share through my courses. These blessings carry the vibrational codes of renewal, peace, and remembrance, bridging the wisdom of the land with the frequencies of the stars.

I am the bridge between Heaven and Earth, between Light and Dark. I have walked both paths over my life — through depression, sadness, and grief, and through love, happiness, and joy. In this life, there has been so much joy, bliss, and contentment, and it is from that place that I hold the flames.

I bridge Earth to the Cosmos, from Root to Heart, to Crown, to Awen — and I find Nwyfre in every day. In the trees, in the streams, in the birds, the flowers, the bees and ladybirds, in the quiet of the dark moon, in the brightest suns rays, it is there always. Sometimes behind a veil, but never far. Just as clouds have silver linings the land, earth, sky and cosmos are my guides, the birds, animals and insects busy as their lives. Between the seasons we move, gently from one to the next and through them we live our cycles of life. Let us remember the beauty of the journey, the cycles of death and rebirth, as we prepare for the wheel to bring us the child of light at Yule.

The Book of Light

The Book of Light is a journey through the Solar and Lunar mysteries, the great Wheel of the Year, and the eternal cycles of light and dark. It honours the dance of Oak and Holly, Grain and Harvest, Mother and Child — the sacred balance that weaves through every season and every soul.

Within these stories live mystery, magic, and enchantment — a way to live in rhythm with the Earth and in harmony with one another. Through community, ritual, and symbolism, we find meaning and guidance to carry us through the changing tides of life.

With our Mother Earth and the Divine Source as our companions, we remember that we are creators of our own lives.

Each flame, each breath, each turning of the wheel becomes an act of creation — a prayer of light offered to the ever-living heart of the world.

I give thanks to all that have walked this path with me, in the Gatherings, the helpers and attendees, to Nick who without his creativity so much would have been different. For the vision of the Grove, the many blessing and inspiration from Awen. I give deep thanks for the vision of Tree Spirit and for the Grove, it is becoming, into it's own, and will flourish more and more each year. I am looking forward to Springtime, and waiting to see what Spirit of Awen brings to me.

Through my period of six weeks from Autumn Equinox to Samhain, of planting seeds, bulbs and listening to the voices of the Raven, the Scribe and Thoth to plant seeds for Spring. A new love arrived from no where. And I am home again.

The love that bound us and light that guides us.

In recent times, I've move into my self again, after 2 years of Grief, I've reclaimed myself - as the spiral of life turns, this mourning was shorter than my last one that took me over 5 years to recover from, the loss of my Mother. I know my Dad is within me every day so that is such a blessing.
