I started sensing spirit, in its many forms so long ago, probably since a child I could read a room, I think our childhood unlocks these skills for us, we know when to cry and when not to ask for something, just by reading the room. And these clairs become our superpowers.
As children, we live closer to the veil. We talk to invisible friends, I used to live in a imaginary world with my invisible friends and creating stories about them. I saw my grandmothers in my mind after they passed to the other realms, I felt the energy of the divine from a small child. I used to feel the emotions of a room before a word is spoken, and dream with colours and symbols far beyond logic. These early experiences often hold the key to our spiritual gifts—what we now call the Clairs.
If you were a sensitive child overwhelmed by crowds, needing quiet time, noticing things others missed you were likely already tuning into unseen realms. Maybe you just didn’t have the language for it. Our childhoods shape us. They can dim our gifts if we’re told we’re “too much” or “imagining things,” or they can nourish them when we’re encouraged to dream, feel, and listen deeply.
And then there’s the astrology of your soul.
Your birth chart reveals your intuitive blueprint perhaps a Pisces Moon made you deeply empathic, or a Scorpio rising gave you x-ray vision into people’s truths. Some children are born open channels, especially under strong water or Neptune placements.
But even if your path was rocky, your sensitivity never left you it simply went underground, waiting to be remembered.
The beauty is: it’s never too late to return to that sacred space where wonder lives.
Your inner child still remembers how to see, feel, know, and hear the whispers of the soul.

As we expand our spiritual awareness, we begin to awaken what many call the "Clairs"—our intuitive senses that go beyond the physical. These sacred gifts allow us to perceive the unseen, receive divine guidance, and walk more fully in alignment with our soul.
In this blog, we’ll explore the major Clairs—Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Claircognizance, and others—and offer real-world examples of how they may show up in your life. You may already be using these gifts without realizing it.
1. Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing)
Clairvoyance is the ability to receive visual information psychically. These inner visions may appear in the mind’s eye as images, symbols, or even short films. Some people see energy fields, auras, or glimpses of spiritual beings.
Example:
During meditation, you might “see” a golden rose opening slowly in your inner vision, bringing a feeling of peace. Later, you realize the rose is a symbol of your heart awakening to divine love.
Or you’re walking in nature and suddenly see a flash of light or a glowing outline around someone—you’ve just tuned into their aura.
2. Clairaudience (Clear Hearing)
Clairaudience is the ability to hear messages from the spirit world. These can be words, phrases, songs, or sounds that come into your awareness without a physical source.
Example:
You’re driving and suddenly hear the words, “Turn left”—you follow the guidance and avoid a traffic jam. Or, a line from a song keeps playing in your head that speaks exactly to what you’re going through emotionally. Spirit is communicating through your auditory senses.
3. Clairsentience (Clear Feeling)
Clairsentience is the ability to feel spiritual energy or emotions from people, places, or situations. It is the most common clair and often the first to awaken.
Example:
You walk into a room and instantly feel the tension—even though no one is speaking. Or you meet someone for the first time and feel warmth and familiarity, as if you’ve known them before. This gift also includes physical sensations, like a tingling when angels are near.
4. Claircognizance (Clear Knowing)
Claircognizance is the ability to receive information as a sudden knowing. You don’t know how you know—it just drops in like truth from nowhere.
Example:
You’re journaling and suddenly write down a phrase that feels deeply wise and not from your conscious mind. Or you get a sudden sense that someone is going to call—and moments later, they do. This is divine intelligence flowing through your higher mind.
5. Clairalience (Clear Smelling)
Clairalience is the psychic sense of smell. You might smell roses when invoking Mother Mary or a loved one’s perfume when they’re near in spirit.
Example:
During ritual, you suddenly smell frankincense, even though no incense is burning. This may be a spiritual presence making itself known.
6. Clairgustance (Clear Tasting)
Clairgustance is the ability to taste something without eating or drinking. It’s often connected to spirit communication, especially from ancestors or passed loved ones.
Example:
While thinking about your grandmother, you suddenly taste her signature lemon cake. It's her way of saying hello and letting you know she’s nearby.
Awakening Your Clairs
We are all intuitive beings. These gifts are not reserved for a few—they are part of your soul’s natural design. Like muscles, your Clairs strengthen with practice and trust. Here are some ways to tune in:
Meditate regularly to quiet the mind and open to subtle signals.
Keep a spiritual journal to track messages, symbols, and sensations.
Work with crystals or oils that support psychic development (e.g., amethyst, lapis lazuli, or sandalwood).
Ask for signs and trust what comes.
Clear your energy field regularly to create a strong signal for spirit communication.
Final Thoughts
As you awaken your Clairs, you’ll notice that life becomes richer, more connected, and full of guidance. These sacred senses help you navigate with greater awareness and walk your path with trust and clarity.
Which of the Clairs do you feel most connected to? Share your experiences in the comments—I’d love to hear your sacred stories.
